Signtseeing spots in the area

Amanohashidate was long ago chosen among the three most beautiful spots in Japan, along with Matsushima (Miyagi Prefecture) and Miyajima (Hiroshima Prefecture).
The sinuous 3.6 km natural bridge separates the Aso Sea from the Gulf of Miyazu, and is covered in a fine stand of some
8,000 pines. So fine, it is listed among the top 100 pine groves in Japan.
Matching that, the trail running through them is one of the top 100 walks in Japan, and the white sand lining the length of the land bridge ranks among the top 100 beaches.
